DESCRIPTION:
Our client requires the services of a Systems Analyst, to provide deliverables including, but not limited to, the following:
Example of DBMS Enhance Monitoring
- SQL monitoring: (requires additional DB SPI license)
- SQL instant service monitoring (monitor each instant within SQL server)
- SQL server services monitoring
- SQL SPI's
- Three major group of policies
- Microsoft SQL Server events
- Microsoft SQL Server services
- Microsoft SQL Server processes
- There are up to 3000 Microsoft SQL Server metric numbers eg.
- ReadsOutstdRate.
- WritsOutstdRate
- TransactionRate
- BlckdProcessCnt
- UserConnectPct
- DBSpaceUsedPct
Example of Website Monitoring
- URL monitoring: (requires additional license cost from BSM)
- URL UP/DOWN
- URL splash page
- this will include pattern matching of fixed content on the splash page
- Web transaction monitoring
- Transaction done as end user login into the web page and do a transaction.
- This will include fixed content pattern matching
- Application transaction monitoring
- Transaction that requires a user to work from a Workstation and logging in and start the application and use a specific work flow
- This will include fixed content pattern matching
Example of Middleware Monitoring
- IIS server monitoring
- IIS server service monitoring
- IIS Admin Service
- IIS hosted sites
- Site instance up/DOWN
Each type of Enhanced Monitoring may require HP SPI (Smart Plug In). For SQL and IIS agents are required and the assumption is that these are installed. For URL monitoring we can use Agent less monitoring.
In addition, Tools & Automation offers Customized Monitoring that includes:-
- Transaction Monitoring - Business Process Monitoring (per transaction)
- Transaction Monitoring - Synthetic (URL UP/DOWN only)
- Dedicated Storage Monitoring
- Custom Monitoring WebSphere MQ Series Version 6
- Custom Monitoring WebLogic (Going to Version 11)
- Custom Monitoring Development of SPI's (4 Weeks full time per SPI type)
- Custom Application Monitoring scope description of objectives to be achieved, including performance criteria and standards list of the Vendor's responsibilities, Deliverables, and a detailed list of the respective services that will be provided to achieve them, including their intended impact or end results identify process for approving the replacement of the Vendor's Consultant(s) timeframes/milestones that the Vendor must adhere to acceptance test planning, if required measurement methods to be used by the Vendor to monitor and report on its performance system documentation, if required
