Job Description:
Full-time, 180-day contract position with direct responsibility to prepare and deliver high quality, day, evening, weekend, satellite, and/or online courses in the Computer Science and Information Systems Department.
Responsibilities:
- Traditional and online course development and facilitation
- Academic advising
- Research and development of potential certificate and program offerings
- Participation in student learning and outcome assessment
- Engaging students to foster academic success
- Participation on college committees
- Participation in college, division, and department meetings and events
- Mentor faculty
- Professional development opportunities
- Marketing of programs
- Articulation with other colleges
- Support quality improvements in department, division, and college
- Other duties assigned by the department.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer-related field required.
- At least one year of experience in college level teaching of computer science or computer-related field required.
- At least three years of associated information technology industry experience is required.
- Experience in HTML and CSS required.
- Information technology experience must include programming experience with at least three of the following areas: JavaScript, PHP, ASP, NET. VB, NET, Java, Ruby or Rails, Python.
- Computer Science and/or Web Design and Development-related certification(s) are a plus.
- Master's degree preferred.
