Job Description:

Full-time, 180-day contract position with direct responsibility to prepare and deliver high quality, day, evening, weekend, satellite, and/or online courses in the Computer Science and Information Systems Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Traditional and online course development and facilitation
  • Academic advising
  • Research and development of potential certificate and program offerings
  • Participation in student learning and outcome assessment
  • Engaging students to foster academic success
  • Participation on college committees
  • Participation in college, division, and department meetings and events
  • Mentor faculty
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Marketing of programs
  • Articulation with other colleges
  • Support quality improvements in department, division, and college
  • Other duties assigned by the department.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer-related field required.
  • At least one year of experience in college level teaching of computer science or computer-related field required.
  • At least three years of associated information technology industry experience is required.
  • Experience in HTML and CSS required.
  • Information technology experience must include programming experience with at least three of the following areas: JavaScript, PHP, ASP, NET. VB, NET, Java, Ruby or Rails, Python.
  • Computer Science and/or Web Design and Development-related certification(s) are a plus.
  • Master's degree preferred.
