Prosource.it is currently seeking a talented IT Helpdesk Analyst to work on site with our client based in Central Newcastle upon Tyne for a period of 4 - 6 months.
The ideal candidate will have ITIL v3 Foundation Certificate and have significant experience providing phone, remote and desk side support to users, using a variety of IT technologies and systems including:
Managing users & computers in a networked environment, installing hardware & software
Windows Operating Systems, Active Directory tools, Citrix
Supporting IP telephony and Blackberry's
Commonly used business related software including Microsoft Office, Outlook, IE
You should be familiar with using remote support tools and service management systems to manage requests and incidents, spot problems and trends. You will be expected to follow agreed best practice processes and deliver within service targets.
As a confident communicator, you will assist users in getting the most from their IT by sharing knowledge and good practice and be able to interpret technical information for non-technical users.
Applicants should have a flexible approach to work, but can expect to be working a 37 hour week, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday. You may occasionally be required to work outside of these hours to support key IT projects and business activities which are usually planned in advance.
