SAN, Storage Consultant, Engineer - Brussels, Belgium (Contract). This is an excellent long term contracting assignment with a major global organization based in Brussels. We urgently seek an experienced Storage Systems Engineer who can act as a SME (Subject Matter Expert) for complex Storage & Backup environments. This role incluydes a wide variety of activities, starting fro m initial setup and installation to Level 4 support. Next to this, the SME acts as a central point of contact for customer liaison. Weekend coverage required; Oncall is +/- 1 week every 2 months.
Skills: TSM (Tivoli Storage Manager); Enterprise Storage Systems (DS8000, DS6000, SAN Volume Controller); Brocade, Scripting (Korn, Perl, Bash); AIX knowledge. You will be a customer focussed IT professional who is able to manage issues and resolve efficiently with excellent communication skills. English speaking mainly - a knowledge of French or Dutch would be a plus!
