Description
Unix Support Engineer (3rd Level) is currently required on a Contract basis for a London based Tier One Investment Bank.
The successful candidate will be involved in providing 3rd level support on a global scale in order to resolve issues that are escalated from levels 1 and 2. The role will also involve developing strong relationships with end users to deliver the required level of service.
The successful candidate must have a background as an UNIX Support Engineer within an Investment Banking environment. You will also have in depth knowledge of UNIX system administration as well as advanced knowledge of Solaris, AIX or Linux. Experience of data manipulation tools ie MS Excel or Access, hardware and interfacing technologies and data analysis will also be required for this role.
