We have an opening for an experienced Windows Engineer to work in our existing Windows Engineering Team. The successful applicant will provide day to day administration and support to our production environment a globally deployed windows environment. Our company is the exclusive development, operations and marketing services supplier to one of the worlds largest online sites.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Serve as a Senior Windows Administrator; responsible for design and maintenance of Windows server-based infrastructure systems, as well as day-to-day operations of geographically dispersed Windows Servers.
- Management of incoming task/event/incident queues.
- Assist with development of major Technical Operations projects, including project technical design, time and resource management as well as implementation.
- Develop design specifications, author internal documentation and participate in the review of these documents.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the Windows environment, related applications and projects.
Skills/Experience:
- 5+ Years Experience of hands on experience with Microsoft Server technologies with expert knowledge in Windows server configuration in Enterprise Environments.
- Expert knowledge of Active Directory design, implementation and support
- Expert knowledge of system and network management concepts
- Expert knowledge of a Scripting language such as Power Shell or VBScript.
- Expert knowledge of in Microsoft Networking services such as DNS, DHCP, WINS, TCP/IP, SMTP, NTP, HTTP and routing.
- Excellent knowledge of HP Intel based server hardware and technology
- Excellent knowledge of OS Imaging/deployment solutions
- Advanced knowledge of clustering practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Excellent Written and Oral and communication skills.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
