Sellick Partnership is currently recruiting an exciting and interesting role for a public sector body that operates on a national basis. We're looking for a Financial Accountant to work in the compliance team within National Finance. The main focus of the role is to improve financial controls, with the aim to improve compliance across all local teams. The role will require some travel to liaise with budget holders across the county. Your key responsibility will be to gather evidence for and completing the new Governance Statement in the Annual Report and Accounts, you will have responsibility for the financial aspects of the new assurance framework that maps risk against corporate strategy.
The ideal candidate will be very technically minded and hold a relevant accounting qualification, ACA, ACCA. The successful candidate should have experience of preparing year-end statutory financial statements and a high degree of knowledge of International Accounting Standards (IAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) The role will involve use of an Oracle based system. This position is to cover a maternity leave and is to start early February.
