Our client, a global Operator in the oil and gas industry, is looking to expand their team and are looking for a Project Engineer. The Project Engineer will provide Technical input and coordination of the engineering works associated with Upstream Projects - Compression. This will include assisting in ensuring the validity and reliability of engineered solutions and the development and coordination of documentation as required.

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Coordinate the engineering elements of the project to ensure that the Company's technical performance and integrity requirements are met.
Coordinate agreement on engineering standards to be used, manage technical deviations, and lead Value Engineering.
Coordinate the resolution of problems within the context of project management, ensuring that all project interface issues, both internally and with third parties, are defined and resolved in a timely and effective manner.
Coordinate project progress to ensure the schedule is being maintained and propose corrective actions in the event of potential schedule overrun.
Participate in Hazop and safety related reviews.
Prepare technical and progress reports to support flow of key information to management and joint venture partners to assist in decision making.
Contribute to project peer assists, peer reviews and technical assurance reviews to progress the project and ensure compliance with VAF and approvals procedures.
Ensure the development and application of project documentation management processes.

Required skills, experience and attributes will include but not limited to:
Substantial project specific experience
Experience on large scale oil and gas projects from both an owners and contractors perspective.
Ability to provide specialist input to Engineering works design, familiarity with the Hazop and Hazid processes.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Mechanical Equipment (particularly compressors) knowledge.
Ability to encourage and work within a team culture.
Attention to detail and competency in reporting accurately to senior management
Comprehensive understanding of all processes associated with large scale projects.
Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
