A well know finance company is seeking a Business Analyst to provide detailed and structured project objectives, structured requirements, process analysis and cost-benefit analysis. You must have finance experience. This is a 6 month contract located in the city.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the project scope is adhered to through the life of the project with potential changes subjected to appropriate change management processes
  • Assessment, analysis and evaluation of business needs to determine the most appropriate solution options
  • Liaising with major customers throughout the delivery phases of developed solutions or products
  • Designing and developing high quality business solutions
  • Ensuring the strategic direction of the organisation is being adhered to
  • Production of business requirements that permit cost efficient and quality solutions. Incorporating both business agreement/sign off and IT sign off.
  • Ensure projects are aligned with the strategic direction of the organisation.
  • Run structured interviews and workshops with the business and the coordination of solution meetings with development teams.
  • Strong understanding and buy in to the organisation's strategic goals in terms of both business and IT objectives

Essential Skills:

  • 5+ years experience as a Business Analyst in Financial Services.
  • A sense of urgency in the way tasks are undertaken, have the ability to work under pressure, be able to prioritise tasks effectively and use your initiative.
  • Strong analysis skills - catering for solutions that cover processes end to end.
  • Ability to conceptualise ideas and visions, think creatively and quickly grasp and understand the business's needs and strategic directions
  • Ability to influence and negotiate, through to Senior Management levels if required, in order to recommend viable options and IT preferred direction/solutions; whilst still meeting the business requirement
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional time/task management skills.
  • Experience working within a disciplined Project Management and SDLC methodologies
