CCCi has an exciting long term contract opportunity for an Infrastructure Project Manager in downtown Dallas. This position requires experience with Enterprise Data Center Migrations. This position will manage multiple IT infrastructure deployments and application assessment projects within the IT organization, and have overall responsibility for the delivery of projects within budget and schedule. Providing accurate status reporting, forecasting and client communications are important aspects of this position.The Infrastructure Project Manager will be responsible for
- The area of concentration is Infrastructure Projects involving all Information Technology including Servers, networks, desktops, etc.
- You will be expected to apply Project Management skills and methodologies to manage multiple small, medium, large or complex projects.
- You will be expected to deliver infrastructure projects on time, within budget, with a high degree of quality and in agreement with stated client requirements and objectives.
- Defines and prioritizes project requirements. Develops time and cost estimates, project plans, and budgets. Oversees and controls ongoing costs, schedules, resources, scope, and risks.
- Develops, monitors, and coordinates project activities, such as scheduling, tracking, and reporting; assess the impact of planned changes and builds contingency plans to support the change efforts.
- Overcomes obstacles and resistance to change through the use of complex strategies to promote project/program success, such as sharing resources to solve mutual problems across the organization.
- Provides work direction and leadership to assigned projects, including scheduling, assignment of work, and review of project efforts.
- Monitors project milestones and critical dates to identify potential jeopardy of project schedule. Identifies ways to resolve schedule issues. Keeps management aware of the situation. Develops strategy and ensures integration of project plans and overall execution.
- Assesses variances from the project plan, gathers metrics, and develops and implements changes as necessary to ensure that the project remains within specified scope and is within time, cost, and quality objectives.
Infrastructure Project Manager required skills include
- 8+ years of documented Project Management experience in large and complex infrastructure environments is required.
- Experience with Data Center Migrations and Disaster Recovery is a MUST.
- Must have traditional project management skill set including the ability to build schedules, create and manage issue and risk logs, manage project financials, manage scope change requests, etc.
- Extensive experience managing medium to large network projects.
- The ability to understand business objectives and how to meet those objectives essential. Basic Project Management and Team Leadership skills are needed, along with good communication skills.
- You must be able to work with all levels of management.
- Desirable skills include knowledge of and experience with: Distributed UNIX and WINTEL platforms, Citrix, SAN Storage, NAS Storage, VM Ware, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and l arge Data Networks.
- Experience managing multiple vendors and third parties and managing project scope ensuring proper escalation for issues and risks is essential.
- Strong knowledge of issues and dependencies on infrastructure projects and experience planning and controlling large scale infrastructure projects is a must.
