Description
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager with a SCRUM Master Certification or equivalent experience leading a SCRUM/Agile team. This position will be about 60% Project Management and 40% business analysis. It is imperative that this person is capable of working with business owners to create user stories/use cases to cover technical requirements, document these user stories and perform iteration planning with the scrum team. This person will also oversee a data analyst who will be assisting with business analysis and detailed data level design such as schema modifications and ETL needs.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor degree in an IT-related discipline
- 8+ years related experience
- Experience acting as a scrum master
- Experience working with an Agile project management software solution such as Mingle, Scrumworks or Rally

- Ability to quickly learn organizational structure, business strategies and processes
- Ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and goals
- Knowledgeable on business process modelling, process mapping
- Analytical thinker with creative problem solving skills and attention to detail

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Is involved in all aspects of projects, including documentation of project needs, maintaining project plan, conducting iteration planning, analysis/research of needs and possible solutions, identifying technology and business solutions, gathering, documenting and updating business requirements; reviewing workflow process mapping; developing business testing strategies and working with project members to execute the test plan, recommending preferred solutions, and implementing recommendations
- Develop integrated baseline project plans applying estimating models, identify resources and skills required, document estimating assumptions, refine plans and manage performance against them
- Act as a scrum master for a small team of developers and testers
- Coordinate with other project managers/scrum masters from other teams that will be delivering dependencies
- Develop and maintain strong relationship with business partners and internal/external team members
- Recommend best solutions based on understanding of business issues
- Documents process flows and gaps
- Provide task-based schedule and cost forecasts and assist in assessing risk-based provisions
- Capture and track program metrics and perform analysis
- Manage project scope by assessing requirements changes, determining and conveying impact on budget, time and risk
- Manage client expectations, anticipates operational and tactical risks and tracks them
- Clarify, identify, and track requirements and issues, remove barriers, resolve minor project issues and escalate to immediate manager where required
- Manage project closure initiatives, such as client satisfaction survey and closure analysis
- Perform production support during rollout and maintenance activities
- Document and archive project activities, deliverables, tools and findings for future projects
