Description
Well-established and industry-leading company has an immediate need for a Senior or Mid .NET Developer for a 6-12 month contract with a good chance for permanent employment. In this role, you will analyze business requirements to recommend, design, and develop solutions using ASP.NET and Microsoft SQL Server. You will be involved in all phases of the software development life cycle including database modelling, unit testing, client meetings, deployments, and team workshops.

Responsibilities:
- Handle change requests and provide quick and efficient solutions. Analyze business requirements and transform them into technical design.
- Implement designs to develop and test the functional requirements. Source code maintenance.
- Administer development and production environments including websites and databases.
- Proactively provide ideas and solutions towards the improvement of the site and the business.
- Interact with business representatives to understand the business requirements.
- Provide effort estimates, prioritize tasks, and drive tasks to completion.
- Assess risks and impacts on the existing platform that may arise from business or functional requirements.
Requirements:
- 4+ years object-oriented design and programming experience using systems, databases, and programming languages to develop software applications within a C# ASP.NET environment.
- SQL server database concepts, especially data replication across multiple sites.
- SOA/Multi-tier software architectures spanning databases, DAL, external interfaces, application, user interface
- Knowledge of data representation and optimization, data structures and algorithms
- XML
- Test Driven Development using NUnit
- SQL Server 2008, TSQL; Merge Replication
- Visual Studio 2005 or 2008
- Continuous Build (TeamCity)
- SQL Server Reporting Services, 2008 preferred
