SQL Server Administrator - SQL 2008 R2, design, installation, configuration.
A leading Blue Chip is looking for a SQL Server Administrator to join their team on a contract basis:
Skills required:
Mandatory:
- Expert level MS SQL Server design, installation, configuration and management/support skills
- Must possess experience of clustering SQL Server 2008 R2 on Windows Server 2008 R2
- Must possess experience of designing, configuring and troubleshooting SQL Server replication and mirroring in cross-site scenarios
- A thorough awareness of SQL Server backup/restore, disaster recovery and security best practises
- Any specific experience of deploying SQL Server to support highly Citrix and AppSense infrastructures would be of direct relevance
Desirable
- Tivoli Storage Manager.
- Data Protection Manager
- Demonstrable experience of Operational Handover.
- Knowledge of any of the following
- Appsense
- ThinPrint
- Citrix XenApp
- App V
