Marketing Statistician - Phoenix, AZ

Under minimal supervision, this position collects and analyzes data for client programs. The position operates as a leader and mentor for stats model construction, modelling variable qualification processes, data validation, and predictive modelling techniques. This position defines and generates marketing models, prepares and presents findings to management. This position participates in the design and maintenance of marketing databases, data integrity and reporting systems. This position is also responsible for development and maintenance of SAS & KXEN modelling environments. This position works directly with client support to provide analysis, creative feedback and recommendations relating to sales, operations or marketing activities. This position provides technical and analytical leadership to incumbents in the role of Marketing Database Analyst I and Marketing Database Analyst II.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Analysis: This position has the authority to identify patterns and meaningful relationships in the data, develop predictive models and present findings that can be effectively communicated to the client and to all levels of management within DAC.
- Benchmark current performance review and analyze existing models and business KPIs.
- Analyze business goals and business results to optimized target metrics.

- Work with marketing, sales, and operations to identify areas for growth and expansion.
- Analyze and interpret statistical data.
- Apply sampling techniques or utilize complete enumeration bases.
- Design research projects that apply valid scientific techniques and utilize information obtained from baselines or historical data.
- Evaluate sources of information.
- Evaluate the statistical methods and procedures used to obtain data.
- Examine probability and inference.
- Plan data collection methods for specific projects, and determine the types and sizes of sample groups to be used.
- Process large amounts of data for statistical modelling and graphic analysis.
- Report results of statistical analyses via power-point.
- Develop an understanding of marketing and sales data fields.
- Prepare data for processing.
- Supervise and provide instructions for workers collecting and tabulating data.
- Aggregates and creates metadata via ETL processes.

Recommendations and Client Contact: This position has the authority to collect client requirements, make marketing and database analysis recommendations to the client.

Develop Programs: This position has the authority to develop programs, to integrate analysis into a desktop and/or web-based reporting tool, to integrate analysis into marketing platforms.

Design: This position has the authority to design, code, test, debug and document programs for the purpose of sales and marketing reports, marketing database information capture and transformation.

Qualifications/Experience Required:
- Minimum of four years experience building and applying regression models, clustering, CART analysis or multivariate analysis.
- Experience developing analytical and statistical analysis of results to identify trends, behaviors, and data analytics in an inbound/outbound call center environment.
- Ability to analyze impacts of tactical and strategic changes within a client driven business.
- Self-reliant and self-directed.
- Direct Marketing, Electronic Direct Marketing, List Processing or Social Media Marketing Quantification experience a plus.
- BS/BA required.
- SAS or KXEN Stats software experience required.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
- SQL database query language recommended.
- Detail-Oriented.
- Desired: 4 years experience working in an inbound/outbound call center operational or client relationship role, with specific experience supporting online customer support programs.
- Knowledge of inbound/outbound call center/phone technologies including: Inbound/Outbound Voice, Online Customer Support programs; knowledgebase and email, CRM.
- Excellent business writing, communication and presentation skills.
- Strong MS Excel skills preferred.
- Must provide example of analysis and presentation materials during interview process.
