2. ASSIGNMENT INFORMATION

4. CLIENT'S REQUIREMENTS

4.1 Scope of Services and Deliverables:

Priority for ServiceOntario is to ensure that the System is developed and successfully redeployed back to production. The Services and Deliverables to be provided by the Vendor will include the following:

Design, Develop, test, document, implement and knowledge transfer of:

1. Core requirements:

a. Development of user interface and navigation development in WebSphere Portal;

b. Participation in development and support of adapters written in Java;

c. Development of generic Web Service Interface for application;

2. Packaging, logging and Testing requirement:

a. The written code must be packaged appropriately and tested by creating and executing Junit tests for unit testing purposes;

b. Detailed JavaDoc comments must be provided to use the unit test script;

c. The code must employ log4j logging to the flat file, the log points will be decided at the detailed design phase during the development;

d. Work with the tester on refining, confirming the test cases and executing them;

e. Participate with the tester in defining the test cases for the application and regression, integration, system, performance and load testing of the application;

3. Documentation:

a. Follow standard Java coding and naming conventions in code;

b. Provide detailed Javadocs in the coded objects;

c. Create Javadoc document from the written code;

d. Work with technical writer(s) to document the application configuration, setup, development, implementation and technical details;

4. Deployment and Support:

a. Compile, deploy and test the application on the WebSphere platforms as well as portal environment;

b. Create and test WebSphere deployment scripts; and

c. Provide support during UAT (pre-production) and Production deployments.

4.2 EVALUATION CRITERIA - Submissions will be evaluated using the following criteria:

4.2.1 Mandatory(Y/N) Requirements:

The successful candidate(s) must be able to demonstrate the following skills, knowledge and experience at the specified level as gained through work on a project(s) similar in size, scope and depth to this one:

1) Extensive experience in developing web and WebSphere Portal applications using defined requirements and architecture;

2) Strong experience in developing loosely coupled J2EE applications using SOA;

3) Expert knowledge of user interface design and development in a J2EE and WebSphere Portal environment; and

4) Familiar with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.

The successful candidate(s) must be available to start work in accordance with the specified timeframe.

4.2.2 Desirable/Rated Requirements;

Knowledge and experience as follows is desirable:

1) Extensive experience in install/Setup/Configure WebSphere Content Management System and integrate with WebSphere portal applications using defined requirements and architecture.
