Description
Technical:Symantec NetBackup v.7.x on RedHat Linux (Windows platforms would be a plus) including GUI and command lines, Experience with support, troubleshooting, and problem investigation for tape backups and SAN environments, Oracle hardware libraries and drives (SL8500+T10K) knowledge, System knowledge (RedHat Linux - Windows and Solaris would be a plus).
Activities:
Assist in the testing and deployment of scheduled NetBackup product updates and patches, Handle NetBackup support issues, activities: Check tape drives, robotics and solve issues if any, Check NetBackup availability and react if any issue, Install NetBackup clients if required (package), Install Oracle agent for NetBackup (package), Check backup of catalog and restart jobs if necessary, Check, troubleshoot and restart failed backups, Start backups on demand if requested during migration or implementation.
