Title: Senior Storage Administrator

Position Summary
CCCi's client has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Storage Administrator in Atlanta, GA. The selected individual will be responsible for maintenance and management of existing storage, as well as growth, planning, upgrading existing EMC storage and San Fabric. He or she will provide system support in system performance and tuning, server storage deployment, EMC best practices, hardware configuration and installation, and applications specific to EMC storage systems. Additionally, architectural and procedural documentation are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Management, operation, maintenance, and support of existing EMC CX4-960 and related core infrastructure (Cisco and/or Brocade san fabrics).
- Perform and coordinate equipment configuration and installation.
- Assist server team with storage configuration.
- Review, Analyze, and Monitor system performance. Make recommendations based on such.
- Follow change management processes.
- Assist as needed with upgrade to VNX-7500 system, including hardware installations, data migrations, and system configurations.
- Documents processes and procedures used for storage administration. Determine and adhere to EMC best practices.
Basic Requirements
- 8+ years of EMC storage systems administration and engineering experience that include the building, configuring and support of mission critical, production systems in a large, enterprise environment.
- 7+ years of practical experience with SAN Switches and fabrics: strong understanding of fibre channel protocols
- Demonstrated understanding of disk storage, I/O, clustering, iSCSI, FC, etc.
- Experience with Virtualization (Storage, Server) technologies.
- Ability to write Shell Scripts or applications to create custom solutions
- Specific and demonstrated knowledge of EMC FAST technology, FAST cache, Celerra, Replication Manager, Unisphere, Flare upgrades, Disk Pools, and Provisioning.
- Consistent track record of taking technology implementations from vision to execution.
- Proven history of constantly striving for improved methodology, efficiency, and work processes.
- EMC Certified Storage Administrator (EMCSA).
- NetApp storage experience is a plus.
Preferred Requirements
- EMC Certified System Administrator (EMCSyA).
- VMware ESX4i certification.
- Redhat Enterprise Linux and Windows systems experience.
