IT Security Engineer

DESCRIPTION

The IT Security Engineer will be responsible for the administration and support of security system software/hardware either at Enterprise, Mid-Range, or Desktop levels. Provides direct technical support for all programming, implementation of releases, upgrades or changes to security system software and hardware, and the range of products and productivity tools that support the testing and production environments relating to the associated operating systems. Will be installing specialized security appliances, doing software upgrades, and administration of selected security products (ie, writing policies, making configuration changes, documenting processes).

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of McAfee's endpoint protection suite (virus protection, vulnerability scanner, spam control, and encryption), Checkpoint Firewall Administration, and Websense Security Gateway.
• MUST HAVE at least 3 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of security principles, theories, and concepts for host and/or application layer vulnerability management.
• Experience with endpoint protection technologies such as anti-virus/malware prevention, content and vulnerability scanners, usage monitors, and encryption.
• Firewall Administration skills including software upgrades and maintaining policy based rule sets.
