BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (listed in order of importance):

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent skills and experience
Experience with architecture and development of Enterprise Java applications (J2EE)
Experience with Java web development skills and excellent understanding of object-oriented analysis, design and programming.
Experience integrating of RIA components into a portal architecture
Advanced knowledge of web UI technologies including; Java (SOAP, JMS or EJB), Javascript, XML and XSL, Web services
Experience with RAD 7.0, Eclipse, Visual, Ant/CruiseControl
Writes highly commented and maintainable code
Good communication skills both verbal and written form
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and as a member of a team
System design and/or Analysis/Vendor product integration

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (listed in order of importance):
Administration of Java Application Servers and Portals; IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM WebSphere Server.
Experience with developing mobile applications with access to centralized data services.
Experience promoting best practices for service based architecture and implementation.
Experience performing o functional testing of web applications to ensure usability

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (listed in order of importance):
1.) Design and develop web services
2.) Lead experience to be able to mentor less experienced developers
3.) Work with other service oriented groups

ANTICIPATED FIRST YEAR DELIVERABLES (listed in order of delivery):
1.) Assist in writing/troubleshooting 3 web services for the Claims project
2.) Work on transition of web services from another group into ours
3.) Coach other developers on the Colorado project to become self sufficient in developing services
