Environment Manager paying up to 1000/day! Six month initial contract + extensions!
My client is a large institutional bank with global operations and they are seeking an experienced Environments Manager that has previously worked in a similar environment!
My Clients' FX business is making significant investments in its electronic FX capabilities (eFX). A large multi-year program of works is in flight, enhancing existing systems and building new automated trading capabilities. The successful applicant will be expected to take responsibility for management of several application environments, hosted primarily in the UK. This includes working with multiple teams in testing, deployment, and building of new environments, including; apps development, app support and infrastructure teams.
You will also be responsible for:
- Participating in designing the production and test architecture for a number of eFX applications
- Provide guidance with the assessment of technical/system related issues
- Designing, documenting, and building new environments
- Assist with networking and Firewall design and documentation
- Assist with documentation of support runbooks and application design documentation
- Deployment of code to testing environment
- Scripting and task automation, including deployment process
To be considered for this role you will have:
- Prior experience working with financial systems in Investment/Institutional Banks
- Experience in system and network architecture design
- Worked with and have an appreciation of Software development principles/methodologies, system support and system optimization
- Good interpersonal skills to deal with business, internal resources and vendor's representatives.
- Industry experience within Unix and/or Windows Administration and or Database administration supporting an investment banking operation is highly desirable
