There will be a requirement to periodically travel within the Atlanta Metro area between existing GDOT facilities.

The applicant will work as a member of a team that supports the Georgia Navigator application. The Navigator application operates 24 hours a day, therefore the applicant must be willing to participate in weekly on-call rotation.

System Administration:

Server Administration for Windows Servers. Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Must be willing to be on call on a 24/7 basis
  • Familiarity with change management in a complex hosting environment.
  • Ability to participate and contribute to a strong, supportive team environment.
  • Implementing on-going infrastructure maintenance and improvements, including off-hours activities.
  • Active Directory user account administration.
  • IIS Web and FTP service configuration and administration.
  • Microsoft Windows Server Cluster administration;
  • Java Application Support and MS SQL Server Support.
  • Microsoft Windows administration to include DNS, WINS, Group Policy management, DFS, DHCP and file and print services.
  • Monitoring, patching, and routine maintenance of Windows Server systems. And Participating and leading teams in various IT Projects and Tasks.
  • Strong understanding of VMware infrastructure and related management technology.
  • Design/Build/Administer Servers through VMware ESX server and VMware VirtualCenter.
  • Ability to create, maintain, and implement scripts in order to reduce administrative efforts.
  • Monitor utilization, capacity, and performance for VMware clusters existing in multiple clusters residing in a few different sites.
  • Intermediate SAN Storage Area Network.
  • Intermediate MS SQL Server.

Networking needs:

  • Participate in daily IT operations when needed.
  • Document and maintain hardware, software, and network standards.
  • Ability to manage and troubleshoot in a complex distributed environment.
  • IT strategy planning, recommend hardware, upgrades, and replacements.
    Must have strong diagnostic and problem solving skills, and be able to interact effectively with customers to troubleshoot problems over the phone.
  • Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, Windows 2K/XP, Windows server 2K and 2K3, Cisco Router/switch infrastructure, Cisco IOS, 802.1x Network security, Network trace analysis, P, 802.11 IEEE standards, WLAN topologies..

Securities:

  • Experience in technology assessment.
  • Experience conducting Vulnerability Assessments.
  • Experience in Authentication & Access Control and System Monitoring.
  • Experience in Regulatory Compliance and System Integration Planning.
  • Experience evaluating customer requests and identifying requirements to recommend solutions.
  • Experience understanding and applying procedures and policies related to information technology.
  • Experience in the computer architecture, operating systems, inter-process communications, networking protocols and their related implementations.
  • Experience with and understanding of compiled and interpreted programs and the types of security issues possible in each; database systems, web Servers, application Servers, mainframes, Firewalls, Routers, load balancers, Switches, and different types of Middleware; x86 assembly.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT Related Field preferred.
