Description
High profile industry leader is seeking a Software Build Engineer for a long term contract opportunity in Addison, TX. The successful candidate will have ownership of an individual application build/deploy setup but ongoing support will flow with the team.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Create Software build jobs in Build Forge.
* Create BladeLogic Deployment jobs.
* Manage deployment jobs.
* Testing the builds to make sure it deploys to target systems.
* Handle requests for manual launched deployments.
* Document build processes and ensure documentation is updated and current.
* Handle server environment maintenance.
* Participate in meetings such as testing and production release planning where appropriate.
* On call rotation for once a month release cycles.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Development background (Java or .net): 2 to 3 years experience.
* Build Scripting (in one of the following or similar - ANT, Python, Ruby, NANT, Maven, Unix Scripting, etc): 2 to 3 years experience Scripting.
* Build automated software products ie Hudson, Cruise Control, Team City, Build Forge, BladeLogic, etc: 6 months to 2 years experience.
* Ability to work with simple coding for framework plug-ins.
* Have thorough understanding of SDLC Waterfall: 5 years experience.
* Release management: 2 to 4 years experience.
* Code configuration: 2 to4 years experience.
* Scripting: 1 to 2 years experience.
* Soft skills: strong leadership ability to work with multiple teams, analytical, exceptional communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills.
* Experience working within large companies in complex environments (enterprise level): 3 years experience.
* Bachelor degree Computer Science, Engineering or similar.
