Job Description:
Our client, a leading telecom provider, is seeking a Data Analyst for its Charlotte, NC location. The client continues to expand its enterprise Customer Relationship Management (CRM) capabilities on the enterprise Datawarehouse and marketing database platforms for corporate and field marketing and analytics teams. The team is responsible for the technology strategy, sourcing, development, deployment, maintenance, training and end user support for these enterprise CRM capabilities. This person will be responsible for the supporting licensed SAS & Campaign Management users with support. Experience with relational marketing databases, SQL, SAS 9.2, Unix, Windows 2008 Server Netezza, and Oracle is preferred.
Responsibilities include:
Provide support for end user issues: identifying, researching, and analysing in order to develop solutions and resolve incidents and tickets.
The analyst will establish and maintain relationships with the business owners, the Datawarehouse development team, and internal/external vendors.
Interacts with infrastructure teams and participates in server outage activities.
Provide support in cooperation with internal UNIX, Windows and Netezza teams.
Provide on-call support for production problem resolution.
Will require coordinating work across enterprise architecture, design, development, production support and QA areas.
Required Skills:
3 years (minimum) progressive experience in IT; concentration in data warehousing and Business Intelligence projects a plus
3 years experience with SAS applications: mainly SAS Enterprise Guide and Base SAS
Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience as a Data Analyst, Software Developer or Database Administrator working on data warehousing/Business Intelligence projects.
Sound knowledge and application of Quality Assurance and Data Quality Management techniques, best practices, and data quality applications.
Top notch SQL skills required. Deep experience with SQL and custom SQL for manipulating, filtering, aggregating, and analysing data to quickly isolate and triage issues. Very strong skills with MS Excel and database access tools such as TOAD, WinSQL, etc.
Experience conducting data analysis in campaign management and Business Intelligence environments (Unica/IBM, Aprimo, SAS, Cognos, Microstrategy, etc.)
Ability to clearly communicate technical information to non-technical persons orally and in writing.
Must be comfortable working with minimal direction in a highly-matrixed organization. Attention to detail and sense of urgency in completing multiple assignments within aggressive timelines
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, preferably Computer Science or related field.
Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Experience with third party data sourcing, data overlays, and data optimization techniques
Experience with Unix and Windows.
Unix/Linux and Shell Scripting experience is a plus.
Experience with Weblogic and Netezza is a plus.
Experience with Oracle is a plus
