Title: DB2 DBA

Position summary:
CCCi's client has an immediate 6 month contract to hire opportunity in Georgia for a senior DB2 DBA. The successful candidate will be someone who can tune the database, help out with part of the development efforts, administer the database and have ESB skills (or WebSphere Commerce). The DB2 DBA will need be accustomed to working on a Linux Back End (Redhat 5.3) within the WebSphere environment. This individual will be the main point person for this organizations group as it pertains to all DB2 DBA related tasks.
Basic Requirements:
- DB2 DBA/Development experience on a Linux Back End
- Experience working within a WebSphere environment
- Ability to tune the database
- Ability to perform some database development tasks
- Experience in technologies such as message oriented Middleware and service oriented type architectures, J2EE/EJB, EDI, XML, etc.
- Experience in one or more of the following: UML, Rational Rose, Datamodelling, data architectures, and enterprise architecture framework methodologies.
Preferred Requirements:
- College degree
- Bachelor's degree in MIS, computer science or engineering
- MCDBA Certification preferred
- SQL Server experience preferred
- Exposure to JD Edwards

- Local Candidates preferred, but will consider out of town candidates with the understanding that the work being performed during the contract period will be onsite at the customer location ONLY, Monday through Friday. This is not a remote position.
- Client has locations in LaGrange, GA and in Atlanta, GA. This position will spend an equal amount of time at each site.
