Senior IT Business Analyst (FMCG), 3 months, Berkshire

We are seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst with Transport Distribution systems or Fast Moving Consumer Goods or Transport systems experience.

Role: Product delivery manager for Transport Systems Developments reporting into a project manager on the first phase of a project to draw up Distribution's Transport strategy to enable us to assess the best system solutions and recommend the future roadmap. Lead analyst to review, investigate, and recommend both existing capability and future Supply Chain Transport Strategy in a FMCG retailer. To support work determining the programme and work modules that enable and deliver those strategic aims. To help identify the expected cost and benefits of these proposals.

Essential experience:

  • Specific current experience in Transport, with insight into modern concepts and operating models. Awareness of the demands of FMCG environment.
  • Senior Analysts business, systems and technical role enabling review and high level modelling of systems.
  • Ability to provide a consultative engagement and documented proposals.
  • Experience in Java/DB2/SQL systems and their architecture.
  • Experience in leading work streams within a project as they will need to commit the Product Delivery Manager role. Familiar with PRINCE2 methods.

Desirable skills:

  • Ability to define high-level systems with BPM, UML using methods aligned to Rational Rose/RUP, and used to describing operations using Use Cases. Ideally familiar with the Enterprise Architect tool.
