Senior Business Analyst - Banking - London - Circa £450 per day

A leading retail bank requires a Senior Business Analyst to participate in a major transformational banking programme. The purpose of this project is to identify and fill gaps in the support, ensure the understanding of New Current Account and ensure that is fit for purpose to support the Group as it moves towards the final To Be' strategic infrastructure.

The purpose of this role is to analyse and document the uses of a core IT platform through the lens of the Business Processes that are reliant upon it, make strategic recommendations about the future of the processes and platform and deliver a roadmap for delivery of that future state.

The expected successful outcomes from completing the project are;

Identify the accounts on NCA that will be part of future migration activities, facilitate the development of the appropriate treatment plans and monitor activities to ensure appropriate activities take place that lead to their closure.

Formally handover to Global Payments a BAU governance model for the NCA platform to ensure it can be supported by Payments Business Operations and that the reconciliations activity is appropriate.

Develop a roadmap for NCA to ensure that it supports the Lloyds Banking Group Strategic goals for the medium and long term. This will include recommendations on accounts and sort-codes where no ownership could be identified. Be accountable for the delivery of all business analysis deliverables on the project.

The role requires the extraction and manipulation of internal data in order to track performance, deliver insights and develop future strategies for the platform.

The role holder will be required to work closely with Business Areas and Subject Matter Areas to understand and document Business Processes before analysing the impacts of existing projects and initiatives on these processes and make recommendations on the future state of the processes and platform.

What core skills and experience are required?

  • Where appropriate produce abstract models that enable requirements to be understood providing a relevant level of detail required to allow design decisions to be agreed.
  • Manage the development of business system/process requirements taking part in peer and phase reviews ensuring full understanding of the business problems and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other members of the project team to assess the impact of changes to business requirements on agreed solutions.

What are skills and experience are desirable?

  • Commercially aware with knowledge of credit card markets and products .
  • Ideally good data mining skills - able to extract and manipulate data using.
  • Ideally candidates will have a strong background in the support of many financial systems and a good knowledge of payments and accounts.
  • Ability to manipulate reports and data into more impactful reports and presentations.

We are looking for a self-starter, someone capable of taking the initiative and adding value to the overall project team. Experience Financial Systems and particularly New Current Accounts, Core Banking (wCBS), Cabinet or CTP will also be highly regarded.
