Key Responsibilities:

  • The successful Senior Oracle Database Administrator will be responsible for the design, build, implementation, testing and production support across all platforms that utilise Oracle technology.
  • Develop, deploy, and improve specific technologies and their interaction with business processes and systems to deliver products and services to customer business units.
  • Translate customer needs and requirements, using technical principles into realisable products, services, or systems and/or networks infrastructure in a timely, quality and cost effective way to ensure operational capability to deliver customer service.
  • Assess capability of vendor solutions and offerings to meet business requirements and manage vendor technology delivery.
  • Make technology investment and business asset recommendations and assessments based on extensive knowledge of new and emerging technologies.

Key Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of the practicalities of implementing and tuning Oracle solutions with emphasis around database technology (Oracle RAC, ASM, PL/SQL).
  • 10 to 15 years experience in the Oracle technology domain.
  • Experience in Datamodelling, data structure.
  • Experience developing capability to extract data based on specified input criteria, where data migration is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver quality projects within budget and time frame.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Background in data warehousing, Mathematics and/or statistics would be highly favourable
    Strong Oracle database technology skills.
