End to End eCommerce Designer

1. Job Description (text):

Someone who has designer experience around 8 to 12 years. He/She should have E-comm design experience preferable with exposure to a wide remit of IBM WebSphere product suite (WPF/WPS/WCM/WCC or MBM, etc). Hands on design experience with WebSphere portlet factory, portal server and should be familiar with SOA architecture. He/She should have worked on Portal solutions, patterns, best practices and he/she should help team to troubleshoot technical issues. Past E-commerce service related experience preferable.

  • This role would be part of Application Support team for life insurance major and would govern the E-business for particular portal and business area.
  • Awareness of Life insurance portals from business, technology and business services perspective.
  • Actively involve in resolving Sev 1 and 2 eCommerce issues along with Design Governance from a Service perspective
  • Liaison with business area for regular assessment of service/satisfaction and drive appropriate actions
  • Responsible for end to end service liaison with other application support which will be non eCommerce
  • Would participate in forums/discussions to promote reusability. Provide feedback to Application Development/delivery and Infrastructure team for ensuring service driven design.
  • Responsible for prioritization and engaged with other E-commerce forum.
  • Functional Knowledge of E2E systems from Portal to downstream Legacy
  • Should have very strong solution designing and architecture experience
  • Liaise with business areas for service reviews and prioritization & triage process
  • Engage other Back End app support areas to drive service delivery
  • SDLC work products and development methodologies including high/low level design documents and V/Waterfall/agile working.
  • Should be able to devise innovative solutions to achieve the goals of the component.
  • Should be able to communicate and work in a team effectively.
  • Should be able to demonstrate strong initiative
  • Flexible and adaptable approach with the ability to deliver accurate work to tight deadlines.
  • Links into strategy & architecture, design community and NFT team for feedback to service design, promote reusability and assessment of service readiness prior to production release
