Our client, a very well recognised leader in their industry and a Global organisation, is currently seeking a SAP ERP Applications Architect to join them on an 12 month contract.
Based in Brisbane's CBD, the SAP ERP Applications Architect will be responsible for the following key tasks;
- Responsible for the overall design and implementation of the enterprise business applications Define core technical infrastructure design, standards and strategy for the Business Solution and other enterprise business applications
- Participate in the design, architecture and implementation of business application solutions to ensure that design outcomes best leverage existing solution components and maximise the business benefits
- Engage and consult with customers and business stakeholders to understand and scope end-to-end requirements;
- Provide advice to other teams regarding application landscape and IT infrastructure requirements of the business system;
- Consider total cost of ownership factors such as licensing, development, support, upgrade and business benefits when developing solutions;
- Documenting end-to-end (across applications and from data centre to end users) solutions to provide specification for realising the design as well as operations and maintenance;
- Contribute to the implementation of new applications and solutions within the Business Solution.
- Review and evaluate technology trends, emerging best practice and technologies within the enterprise business applications domain
- Provide technical architecture design input and QA signoff during build and improvement projects for Applications supported systems
- Design and deliver re-useable technical architecture solution components that support rapid rollout and repeatable, high quality outcomes
- Support of development and configuration activities through advice on design and standards
To be successful for this role you will require the following key experience;
- 10+ years experience in SAP applications architecture
- Experience in complex ERP (preferably SAP) infrastructure and application landscapes in both implementation and operations
- Good understanding of Client Server technical architecture and global IT networks
- Good communication skills (oral and written)
- Meeting and workshop facilitation skills
Good knowledge of SAP Basis activities - Sound understanding of enterprise architecture methods and frameworks (eg. TOGAF, Zachman)
- Ability to learn new technologies and application implementation
- Advanced problem solving skills
