CCCi has an opportunity for a Mainframe Computer Operator to work 3rd shift with our local Textile client in the Mount Holly, NC area.
Responsibilities - Computer Operator will:
-Perform daily operations of computer system, computer network and data communications network-tapes, batch file, job scheduling, reporting, system restore up and down, etc.
-Assist in maintaining records of equipment maintenance
-Interface with appropriate personnel to insure timely resolution of problems
-Assist with service and repair of personnel for all computer room equipment. Assists in maintaining equipment maintenance log
-Ensures that all computer room equipment is in proper working order at all times and takes necessary steps in having equipment repaired as needed
-Monitors operating system and network software performance and make adjustments as necessary to ensure maximum efficiency
-Performs backups, restores and recovery procedures
-Assists in maintaining all documentation related to the Data Center
-Interfaces with users, vendors and IS Associates
-Assist in responsibilities for system restarts and recovery
-Assists with Help Desk Center phone calls, transfers calls as needed and handles voice messages
-Routes requirements to Technical Support Staff and/or other associates that can help resolve issues
-Tracks resolution of issues
Skills/Qualifications:
-3-5 years IBM Mainframe Computer Operator experience
-CICS, JCL Knowledge, Job Scheduler knowledge
-Minimum Associates Degree or equivalent education and experience
-1-2 years working with end users
-Knowledge of computer theory, job control language, data communications facilities and equipment, operating systems, related communications equipment, techniques and procedures of computer operation and data control in electronic data processing
-Good communication skills (written and verbal) and personal relationship skills
