Position Summary
CCCi's client has an immediate 8 month contract for a Unified Communications/IP Telephony Engineer. This role is responsible for a suite of solutions to support the client's Global businesses. The successful candidate shall have 3-5 years of practical experience with Cisco Systems Unified Communications Manager Administration (CUCM/Unity Unified Messaging). This person will play an integral role in integrating a new business acquisition.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Business Requirements Collection & Analysis
- Technical Communications and Consulting
- Experience with multi-site Cisco Call Manager/SRST/Publisher/Subscriber Administration
- Cisco Desktop services & configuration including CUPC (7/8), CUVA, CIPC deployments
- Understanding of various tools: Operations Manager, Statistic Manager, Cisco Works, Prognosis, Netcool, Atlas (GEMS) ticketing
- Maintain standards for Unified Communications Solutions
- Enforce adherence to all change control and software release/patch management processes.
Basic Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years of IT/Telecommunications experience
- Cisco Unified Communications Integration and Deployment experience
- Data Networking Knowledge & Telephony Integration
- Understanding of Microsoft Tools (PowerPoint, Visio, Spreadsheets, Word)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or related field
- Cisco Voice Certifications, CCNA and CCVP
- Avaya Definity and Audix systems & support experience
- Understanding of network security concepts
