Senior GERAN Design Engineer (2G/2.5G)

Our client is a global market leader within the Telecommunications industry. We are currently recruiting for an experienced, self motivated and customer oriented Senior 2G RAN Design Engineer to join a fantastic new team based in the Netherlands. The ideal Senior 2G RAN Design Engineer needs to be capable of handling large scale design and implementation projects.

Some day to day duties will include:
*Creating high level designs (HLD) and Low Level Designs (LLD)
*Validating the Low Level Designs in a commercial network
*Create a (high level) Project plan
*Ensure timeliness & quality delivery of the HLD and LLD to the stakeholders
The ideal Design Engineer will have the following:
*Technical experience with RAN Design engineering
*In depth knowledge of 2G performance related counters and gauges
*Experience of optimisation and capacity improvements
*In depth knowledge of capacity management related counters and gauges
*Experienced with Business Objects XI, 2G OSS applications and of MML commands
*Advanced understanding of Wireless Network Architecture, Technologies, concepts and standards ( eg ITU-T)
*Profound knowledge of 2G handover and reselection parameters
*Ability to write high level designs, test plans and project plans
*Thorough understanding of strategies to evolve an existing network for the future demands
