We have an IMMEDIATE need for a Testing Coordinator! This is a contract opportunity located in Tucson, AZ.
DUTIES:
1. Plan and coordinate testing activities for applications during development, enhancement and environment change.
2. Develop and execute manual system integration tests, selecting a subset to automate for future application smoke testing for new applications.
3 Develop and execute risk based tests for existing applications and source code translations.
4. Work closely with the assigned user communities to understand their business need and coordinate resolutions of application errors with Application Analysts and developers.
5. Facilitate reviews for test deliverables/results and end-user acceptance testing.
6. Develop scheduled project deliverables including test plans, test cases, test procedures and traceability maps.
7. Ensure project tasks are completed as scheduled and report results to business customers/programs and functional organizations.
8. Perform test management activities, ensuring the currency, quality, and integrity of the information by providing consistency in content and 'look and feel' within a given project or task.
9. Support the automation of system, integration and regression testing of new application development and application maintenance activities.
1. Knowledge of the software development process, including requirements gathering, analysis and design, development tools and technologies, release and version control, testing methodologies and deployment.
2. Experience with test plans, use-cases, and test processes and tools.
3. Excellent oral and written communications with the ability to present and explain technical information.
4. Knowledge of business needs with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.
5. Ability to communicate needs and schedules, ensuring plans are in place and adherence to standards.
6. Capability of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
7. Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic teaming environment.
8. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
DESIRED:
1. 4 to 6 years experience in information systems, demonstrating competency in the application development life cycle, test management, project management, and customer relationship management.
2. 3+ years experience developing test plans, test cases, test procedures and traceability maps.
3. 2+ years experience with HP Quality Center with Quick Test Pro.
4. Understanding of Portal, Web, Datawarehouse, Business Intelligence, Java, HTML, ColdFusion, FLEX, SQL, Oracle, and UNIX technologies.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent experience.
