Description
We have an IMMEDIATE need for (2) Java Developers! These are full time, direct hire positions located in Dallas, TX. Qualified individual will develop web applications to be used by internal business users and/or external customers.
The organization's Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is an iterative, extreme, Agile type of life cycle. Individual can expect weekly improvement builds and weekly maintenance builds to take place and projects run on a two week to four week sprint. A light test driven development process for creating code is used in the environment.
Qualified individual needs to be open minded as to how the business develops software with a propensity to learn rather than criticize. This is a new development team that will eventually consist of six developers. Individual should have an understanding of the responsibilities of Business Analyst and Quality Assurance team members; collaborate with Business Analyst, Business Users, System Administrators, IT Project Managers, IT Help Desk, and IT Management.
REQUIRED:
1. Minimum 4 years Java development experience. Individual will be coding 90% to 100% of the time.
2. Minimum 2 years experience with JBoss Application Server, JBoss ESB, and JUnit.
3. Must be familiar with SCRUM Agile development.
4. The individual needs to have minimum of 2 years in coding with Spring frameworks as it is used for the dependency injection, transaction management, Proxy services and AOP modules of Spring - Spring MVC is not used.
5. Experience programming using Struts 2 MVC framework is highly desired; experience with other Java based MVC frameworks required.
6. The individual must have Hibernate ORM experience - other ORM experience may be considered, but is not desirable.
7. Experience with WebServices required.
8. Experience with CVS (as it is used as the code repository) currently, but will be converting to Git (a distributed revision control system with an emphasis on speed).
9. Experience with Eclipse - MyEclipse is the version currently in use.
DESIRED:
1. Experience with Drools 3.0 or later.
2. Experience with RESTful web services.
EDUCATION:
4 year degree in Computer Science or IT related field highly preferred.
TRAVEL:
Minimal travel between Dallas, TX and Franklin, TN will be required periodically.
