Manage day-to-day operations of Storage environment. Conduct daily operational procedures in the SAN and storage management environment. Document procedures for daily operations. Perform technical configuration changes to support the DR site. Understand and make configuration changes to the BCVs at the DR site as needed to support DR Tests. Storage Provisioning. Configuration Management, including Server Connectivity. Advise on physical planning issues. Assist with host configuration to enable server connectivity to the SAN. Experience Level: 6-10 Years. Skill Set: Storage Administration. SAN technologies, Storage Provisioning, Device group manipulation of EMCs SRDF, EMC Control Center (ECC) and EMCs StorageScope.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES 

This position is the Service Delivery Manager in the Service Delivery Management organization (DCS). The DCS team is the organization set up to manage the services delivered to by the SUPPLIER. Role is responsible for managing the service and driving the SUPPLIER relationship to ensure effective and efficient delivery. 
Manages SUPPLIER/s delivery of services against service levels and business needs including but not limited to; Ensures service level metrics and objectives are in place and being tracked and reported and Oversees SUPPLIER service delivery ensuring services meet or exceed Service Level Agreements and business needs. 
Resolves any service level issues, chronic problems, or escalations from Business Relationship Managers (BRMs), Delivery Tower Managers, or business units by ensuring that the SUPPLIER delivers a timely and effective solution. When necessary escalates issues to the Project Executive for resolution. 
Work closely with the applications development teams thru Business Relationship Management (BRMs), guiding developers in best practices related to using the underlying Storage Infrastructure and assisting them in resolving performance problems. 
Ensures that communication and collaboration between the SUPPLIER,  other third-party providers is working effectively and efficiently to include ensuring that the Project Executive and governance teams are kept up-to-date of any service level issues and remediation plans, leading the Management Committee governance meetings and participating in other governance forums as needed 
Work on Design and architecture: Recommend improvements to systems design and architecture for both systems and applications. 
Analyzes key performance indicators and submits recommendations to governance committees on changes or additions to the existing Service Level Agreement; Identifies SUPPLIER and internal provider opportunities for service improvement, innovation and cost management

Desired skills 
Previous storage architecture and engineering experience, across multiple vendor and technologies. 
In-depth understanding of storage architecture design techniques, theories, principles, and practices. 
Solid experience architecting enterprise storage, archival/backup, and DRP systems with a broad spectrum of storage technologies. 
Excellent knowledge of SAN, NAS, DAS, RAID, SCSI, Fibre Channel, tape, clustering, encryption, content-addressable storage, technologies from multiple vendors. 
Demonstrated experience with Storage performance management and capacity planning. 
Experience in at least one or more of the following Storage Product Vendor subsystem products is required: IBM, EMC, Hitachi . 
Demonstrated knowledge of Storage networking systems 
Troubleshooting experience required. Experience analysing performance problems in a load testing or production environment 
Knowledge of Storage subsystem architecture and design. 
Knowledge of software asset management processes and contracting in an Enterprise Storage environment.
