My client, a globally recognised consultancy now requires a Risk and Controls Senior Manager to join their expanding team .

Your role as a Senior Manager will see you leading multifunctional teams on the firm's priority financial services and professional services clients. My clients Risk and Controls Solutions professionals work with clients to identify opportunities to improve their understanding of risk management across business and technology based processes.

You will work directly with partners and senior management at clients ranging from global to local investment managers and custodians, providing assurance and advisory related services through all major milestones of the sales and delivery life cycles. You will be responsible for managing a client portfolio and developing long term sustainable relationships with key client stakeholders.

In addition to working with partners and the broader team to secure and deliver individual proposal opportunities, you will work on specific projects to improve the capabilities offered to clients. You will be responsible for developing thought leadership on specific hot topics with a view to growing revenues for the firm.

Good understanding of COBIT, ITIL, Service Orientated Architecture and other IT based risk frameworks

  • Experience delivering engagements in line with third party controls frameworks Record of success, in identifying/managing/leading complex engagements, preferably in a professional services or consulting environment, overseas Financial Services experience highly regarded
  • Business development skills and the ability to work as a trusted advisor to senior management
  • Excellent communication skills: speaking, writing, confident in front of large groups; assertive but diplomatic
  • Able to coach teams effectively for challenging engagements and get the best out of team
  • Strong people skills - ability to quickly build trust, credibility and rapport with senior stakeholders and the broader risk and controls solutions team
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines and budgets
  • Constructive challenging approach able to effectively prioritize and delegate where appropriate when faced with multiple competing requirements
