Project Manager responsible for managing storage and Mainframe infrastructure projects for the Mainframe Infrastructure and Storage group within the Information Technology department
Education: 4-year College Degree preferably in Information Systems or Computer Science
Skills Required:
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Ability to facilitate large meetings with all management levels in attendance
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Extensive experience managing using a structured System Development Life Cycle
- Extensive project analysis experience
- MS Office Suite, especially MS Project
- Strong teamwork ethic and customer support focus
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to take ownership of issues to resolution.
Preferred:
- MS Project Central/Server
- IT Infrastructure Projects
- Background in Mainframe Infrastructure or Storage (SAN, Network, Mainframe)
- PMP Certification
Experience Required:
- 4+ years of project management in a corporate environment
- Working with technical experts and users to discuss problem analysis, systems modifications and gathering of requirements
- Previous experience working with infrastructure projects
Responsibilities:
- Managing all aspects of project management.
- Management of scope, requirements, time, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk, procurement, and integration.
- The person needs to be able to support several large projects concurrently.
- Preparing detailed project plans using appropriate PM tools: MS Project, MS Office, etc.
- Candidate will prepare project reports and summaries as requested by department director and or department managers, handle scheduling, and conducting/facilitating project meetings.
- Responsibilities will include working with other project managers to insure the success of the projects.
- Other duties are facilitating cross-functional, intra-department, and inter-department communications and cooperation in achieving project success.
This position is in our mid-town Atlanta office building with a February 15 th, 2012 start date.
