Description
General Ledger Accountant positions has arisen with our client in Aberdeen, a world leading Oil and Gas company.
This role is to ensure the integrity of the Financial statements for regional sites. Critically evaluate existing procedures and drive forward improvements. This role involves working closely with other members of the wider Finance team.
Responsibilities
Remotely support the regional sites
Support the controllership team in implementing systems and defining process improvements. Increasing the use of technology/automating current manual processes
Support the reconciliation of companies major bank accounts
Development of intercompany processes
Drive month end closing activities and working within tight deadlines
Drive account reconciliation process reducing reconciliation cycle
Ensuring company Policies are adhered to
Working with the Internal and External Auditors
Other ad-hoc activities
Qualifications/Requirements
Educated to degree level or equivalent
Strong Interpersonal Skills/Team Player
Effective communication skills
Self-starter and ability to multi task
Attention to detail
Commitment to integrity and compliance
Desired Characteristics
Record of working to tight deadlines under pressure
Qualified Accountant preferred, qualification by experience accepted
Knowledge of US GAAP
