Automotive Industry leader looking for a SQL Server DBA with 5-7 years of SQL Server experience at the enterprise level.

Qualifications:
 Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
 5-7 years experience in Microsoft Windows/SQL Server Technologies, .NET development.
 Experience working on 24x7 environments oriented towards a zero downtime target.
 Working knowledge or previous administration of SQL 2000+, SQL 2005, SQL 2008R2 and Windows Server 2003+.
 Must have hands on experience with ETL, DTS, T-SQL, SQL Server, and SSRS, SSIS. 
 Ability to work with minimal direction, yet also able to work in team environment.
Performance tuning for SQL server, queries, stored procedures, views, etc.
 Hands on experience with configuring Log Shipping, SQL mirroring.
 Experience working with Microsoft CRM Dynamics is a big plus.
Proven ability to quickly learn and implement new technologies
Experience with or interest in learning Oracle, MySQL or Netezza database platforms, a significant plus.
 Ability to analyze existing systems and make recommendations on which technology best suits the business requirement for high availability, Disaster Recovery or high performance.

Responsibilities
 Develop new or maintain existing programs based on specifications
 Develop, implement and maintain unit tests of programs
Participate in the design of new or changing programs
 Participate in functional test planning and testing for the assigned application(s), functional area(s) or project(s)
 Participate in problem solving and troubleshooting for the assigned application(s), functional area(s) or project(s)
 Share knowledge by effectively documenting work
 Stay current with changes in the technical area of expertise
 Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the assigned application(s), functional area(s) or project(s)
 Work with the team to ensure the quality of the assigned application(s), functional area(s) or project(s)
Respond quickly and effectively to production issues and taking responsibility for seeing those issues through resolution.
 Resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues.
Implement data models and database designs into physical databases.
 Prepares implementation plans for Database upgrades and coordinate rollout.
Performs advanced database administration activities including; installation, configuration, monitoring, space management, and may design disaster recovery procedures.
 Define Backup and Recovery strategies using Netapp Snapshots, SnapManager for SQL, Native SQL Server Backup/recovery Tools, and Red Gate.
 Manage Database security to comply with PCI policies.
 Assist in the definition and implementation of database standards.
 Review scripts submitted by the Development team to ensure that all standards are met.
 Monitor databases for errors and perform problem determination when necessary.
 Design and implement highly available production systems using the following technologies: Database Mirroring, Log Shipping, windows/SQL  clustering
