Description
Large Finanical Services Company in Dallas/Fort Worth is seeking a Business Systems Analyst for a high profile role within their IT department. In this role, the Business Systems Analyst will be working on a team of Business Analysts, internal business and operational Subject Matter Experts, and the Project Management staff to gather project requirements based on evaluation of the Company's current state technology environment. Perform side-by-side shadowing of line level operations and document business processes, workflows, manual work-arounds, training procedures, standard operating procedures, adhoc reporting, etc. Will develop future state functional specifications for acceptance by the client and provide guidance to the technical team in the development of the proposed system.
RESPONSIBILIES:
1) Participates in identifying business process requirements and related business/application solutions for a specific business need.
2) Gathers requirements for customized solutions and provides alternative solutions.
3) Creates documentation of current business processes, including visual process flow diagrams.
4) Performs gap analysis between current system and requirements against future system.
5) Works with business and operational subject matter experts to define Best Practices for future workflow processing.
6) Produces functional specifications for hand-off to technology team for technical design and development.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS: 5-7 years of related professional experience. Strong skills with Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Visio. This is a high visibility client facing role. Consulting background and strong verbal skills are critical. Heavy experience with Visio is a MUST HAVE skill.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Will be working onsite in local office on a daily basis. Travel may be required to out-of-area client locations for due diligence potentially up to 2 full weeks in duration, but travel will be minimal after completion of due diligence.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: This is a high profile, client facing role. A qualified candidate must have strong communication skills and experience mining requirements from non-technical, line-level operators within the client environment. Candidate must also have a technical background and be able to work with systems analysts to transform business requirements into functional design. Heavy experience with Visio is a MUST HAVE skill. Phone screens will be conducted, prior to in-person interviews being scheduled.
