Microsoft BI consultant wantedFunction Description:
For my client's development team working on an in-house developed BI solution, we are actively looking for a BI consultant with solid background in setting-up dimensional models and ETL-processes on the MS SQL Server platform.
Responsibility
Set-up and modify ETL-processes via MS SQL Server Integration services.
Set-up and modify OLAP-cubes via MS SQL Server Analysis Services
Set-up and modify reports via MS SQL Server Reporting Services
Testing (unit tests, integration tests)
Understand and model dimensional models related to gas flow management
Analyze, understand and document business requirements concerning the different datamarts, reportings and OLAP-cubes in the domain of gas flow management
Realize support and maintenance service by helping in bug finding and resolution, incident management.
Experience & expertise
MS SQL Server 2008: thorough experience in following domains
o Integration Services (SSIS)
o Analysis Services (SSAS)
o Reporting Services (SSRS)
Oracle: Experience in writing and optimizing PL/SQL-scripts
Background knowledge on gas flow management domain or in the energy sector is an asset
Good knowledge of the UML modelling language
Experience with Sparx-systems Enterprise Architect is an asset

Skills when interviewing users; listening actively to their needs, asking the right questions and interpreting the answers accurately
Ability to communicate the semantics of formal and precise models to users in a digestible form
Ability to communicate in Dutch (spoken) or French (spoken) and English (spoken and written)
