Description
We are urgently looking for a Qualified Social Worker to work in a Long Term Children's Team in the Huntingdon area. This team works with Children between the ages of birth to 18, and their families. You will be responsible for covering two rural towns (Huntingdon & St Neots), so ideally you will need to have your own transport. This position is initially for 3 months, but will likely be extended (depending on performance).You will be required to hold and manage a complex case load of child protection cases, child in need and care proceedings. You MUST have experience in completing initial and core assessments, completing reports for court (S7 & S37), as well as writing statements and care plans for children who are subject to S31 proceedings. You will need to demonstrate a commitment to working in partnership with families and professionals and to work as part of an industrious and committed team.
You will need to hold either a Degree or Diploma in Social Work and MUST be registered with the GSCC.
