Link Technologies is looking for a Sr. Programmer Analyst for a contract opportunity in Carson City, NV.
SCOPE OF WORK
Consultant must perform all activities to the agreed upon project plan/schedule.
The design document must be approved by the Client before development begins. The format of the design documentation will be mutually agreed upon between the consultant and the Client. Content of the documents must include at a minimum, flow charts, process flow diagrams; data base elements and structure with an Entity Relationship Diagram, field edit and validation tests, any special programming techniques utilized, etc.
All programs must include commented code identifying program logic and special routines (subroutines). The commented code must be sufficient so that a programmer not familiar with a program can gain an understanding of the processes used in a time efficient/effective manner. The application programming must be sufficient to achieve the objectives of the design document.
The consultant will modify the current test region, including all enhancements to allow for system testing and user acceptance testing during the development phase to ensure that each module of the application operates as specified.
Consultant will be responsible for programming modifications required to resolve errors/omissions encountered during user unit testing and user acceptance testing.
Once the application is developed and passes user acceptance testing, the code will be migrated to the current production region creating an exact mirror image of the test region.
Consultant will re-populate the enhanced production region with existing application data.
The consultant will prepare written system documentation. The format of the required documentation will be mutually agreed upon between the consultant and the Client.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, or any other equivalent degree with a minimum of seven (7) years of programming experience.
- Have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in developing programs using Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 and above.
- Be proficient in writing web applications using ASP.NET and VB.NET. Proficiency in C# programming language will be considered as well instead of VB.NET.
- Have experience in writing Web Services using .NET (this is a must).
- Be an expert in writing efficient SQL queries and using stored procedures in SQLServer.
- Be an expert in deriving and understanding business rules by reviewing existing programs.
- Have good verbal and written communication, documentation and user requirement gathering skills.
- Be proficient in analysing, debugging and testing programs.
- Consultant must have a good working knowledge and strong technical background and experience in system analysis.
