Description
Our Client is seeking a ICT Senior System UNIX Engineerto join their team to undertake the following: Operational acceptance responsibility:
- Installation
- configuration
- monitoring
- setup acceptance environment for business users to be able to perform E2E acceptance tests
- setup performance test environments for ICT testers to perform performance-, load-, stress-, stability tests
- backup/restore tests
- disaster recovery tests
- security
- sanity check to advise the operational readiness of the launch of the application in the production environment
- 2nd level support responsibility, according to ITIL procedures, in line with agreed service levels
- 2nd line incident management
- Problem management
- Release management
- Change management
- Configuration management
- Documentation responsibility:
- Cross team co-ordination responsibility to prepare implementation & test backout plan, within an agreed maintenance window & planning.

Need applicants with expertise in:
- Indepth knowledge on Linux-Unix OS
- TCP/IP
- Shell Scripting (bash, )
- JBoss or other JEE Application Server
- Apache
- XML/XSL/
- DB (Oracle, SQL)
Asset:
- Python/Perl
- Java/C/C++
- MS SQL
- Scheduler (UC4)
- MQ Series, web-services
You will be the contact person for:
- ICT project managers
- ICT release coordinator
- ICT test coordinators
- Post Academy trainers
- 1st line support in the Service Desk
- Suppliers & software engineers for 3r line support
- Business for operational support
- DBA's
- Telecom engineers
