Description
The purpose of this position is the establishment of processes, roles and methods used to effectively manage IT vendors and externally supplied services.
The successful bidder will provide our client with consultancy, coaching and training services to enable our client's staff to design, implement, manage, monitor and control the relationship with external suppliers of various IT services.
It is expected that the work will be supplied over the period of 4 to 6 months.
The Consultant will create the IT vendor management and service management capabilities required to operate effectively in a managed services environment using long term strategic partners.
IT Vendor management covers the capability needed for:
Strategic, tactical and operational engagements with suppliers
Strategic partners and tactical suppliers (prime contractors, sub-contractors, service integrators, other suppliers)
Build and run suppliers.
IT Service management capability includes:
ITIL processes (covering service strategy, service design, service transition, service operation and continual service improvement)
Both assurance and execution of ITIL processes as determined during the design and sourcing activity when applicable
other non ITIL processes for build and integration services
For both capabilities, design and implementation will cover:
Processes
Roles and skills
Structures and teams
Training
Governance and performance reporting.
