Senior Business Analyst (F4)

Our high profile client based in Sydney is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a 6 months engagement involving the analysis of their End User Computing environment and the development of a roadmap for the future.
The main aspects of the role are:
- Write a strategy and roadmap on how to manage the end user computing/technology environment moving forward.
- Gather information on what devices are currently in use across the whole of the organisation
- Gather information on connectivity/bandwidth requirements for remote users
- Gather information on how and when needed and how this will feed into the Architecture Strategy
- Liaise with EA's, Security Architects and Database Specialists regarding requirements needed to define the Strategy
Skills required
- Previous experience in the analysis of enterprise wide End User technology environments such as SOE, Mobile Devices, User Supplied Systems or desktop upgrades is desirable but not essential.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Business Analysis methods and tools and an overall grasp of technical issues.
- Demonstrated knowledge of full project life cycle, its typical phases, the deliverables within the phases and the role of the Senior Business Analyst within those deliverables
- Project Management concepts and methodologies, Systems Analysis and Systems Design.
- Demonstrated ability to develop conceptual data models and to specify data conversion processes.
- Stakeholder management experience essential
Personal competencies also required include:
- At least 5 years experience as a Business Analyst, preferably who has worked on a wide range of different projects.
- Very good written communication skills with a demonstrated ability in writing effective business scenarios, user requirements documentation, conceptual and functional design documentation and the ability to effectively
- Communicate technical issues verbally to all organisational levels.
- Proven ability to analyse and distil problems, develop creative solutions and promote simplified alternatives.
- Proven estimation, negotiation, facilitation and interviewing skills
- Proven ability to effectively manage time and conflicting priorities
- Willingness to work extended and varied hours in a range of work locations depending on the daily requirements of the project.
- Demonstrated ability to learn a new domain very quickly
