Our client, An Educational Institution based in Lancashire is seeking a part time HR Manager on an initial 12 month contract to cover a secondment and provide outstanding Employee Relations service to the organisation through the Human Resources function.

Reporting to the Head of HR, the part time HR Manager will operate in this pro-active position with emphasis on building close relationships with Executive Leaders and Heads of Departments to support the achievement of the strategic plan. You will provide accurate and timely advice and support to the HR team and Managers throughout the organisation and will look for opportunities to implement innovative and value added solutions.

The successful candidate will be CIPD qualified, with strong Generalist HR Operational skills and an expert knowledge of employment law and legislation, ideally having worked in an educational environment but this last point is not essential.

Key Responsibilities of the part time HR Manager:

  • Deliver a range of human resource services to designated Departments including employee relations, recruitment and selection, performance management and work force planning
  • Provide timely advice and support to managers on a diverse range of operational HR activities such as discipline and grievance, performance and attendance management, terms & conditions of employment, and policy development
  • Co-ordinate the development, review and implementation of people management policies, systems and procedures as required across a range of human resource activities
  • Support the benchmarking of human resources activities and delivery to ensure that the service adds value

Remuneration:
Our client is offering a salary range of £37-39,000 pro rata on 18.5 hours per week, and this assignment is a contract part time placement to cover a secondment. This role is part of a job share.
