Senior C# Developer - C# .Net, SQL Server, ETL, Agile, TDD, NHibernate, Banking
Up to £550 (depending on experience)
A Tier 1 Investment Bank in London is looking for a senior developer to join their team immediately. This is an exciting new contract, for an experienced C# developer to join a dynamic system therefore important to be flexible and adaptable within an Agile environment.
The versatile senior developer will join the team and be responsible for the development of the current in-house portfolio monitoring solution. The senior developer will be joining a small team of BAs, QA and developers and be involved in the full development life cycle, including requirements capturing and solution design.
The platform is a C# .NET/SQL Server based solution and comprises of several Windows Services responsible for the loading of data into SQL Server via a custom ETL layer. The user interface of the platform is built using ASP.NET with ambitions to migrate new screens to MVC. The platform has ambitious plans to enhance the features including; loading of reference and time series data from market data sources; enhancement of risk reporting functionality; on-boarding of new funds and platforms and streaming of existing business processes.
The development is currently performed using an Agile methodology following TDD, weekly iterations, Mock testing, design patterns and always encourage candidates with views on new technologies.
Key Requirements:
- You must have proven experience within the Investment Banking or Fund Management domain
- C# 3.5 (4.0 beneficial)
- SQL Server 2008
- Agile - TDD, BDD, Mock testing, NUnit
- ASP.NET and MVC (Razor beneficial)
- NHibernate is a must
- WCF
- Experience with ETL solutions or manipulating data
- Experience across a range of asset classes
- Strong communication skills
