Job Title: Equipment Engineer
Location: Westborough, MA
Duration: 30months +
Rate: $50/Hr on W2
Key Skill: Cell Equipment design, purchasing and project management
Description:
- Bachelor's degree in technical field or equivalent technical experience.
- Strong project management experience & skills -PC applications (specifically Microsoft Project, Windows, and Microsoft Office).
- Knowledge of cellular network architecture.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Occasional night work may be required.
- Knowledge of Lucent Cellular equipment a plus.
- Knowledge of Peoplesoft a plus.
- Determining, ordering, and overseeing the integration of equipment for cell sites, including cell equipment, antennas, coax, power systems, batteries, transport InterconnecT equipment, and other miscellaneous items required for cellular engineering and operations.
- Project management of network growth and systems integrations to include the identification of critical paths, milestones, and contingency plans.
- Work closely with all groups within NE East Network team including RF Design, Real Estate, Construction, Operations, System Performance and the Area Planning team.
- Manage vendors to meet targeted network milestones and turn-up dates.
- Provide input for budget and overall planning.
