A well known finance company is Urgently seeking an IT Project Manager. You will be accountable for the efficient and effective management and delivery of projects. This is an excellent opportunity to manage and end to end project. You must have finance/funds management experience. This is a 10 month Fixed Term contract located in the city.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the end to end scoping, requirements, development and implementation of assigned project portfolios
- Regular status reporting, issues and risk management and usual Project Management tasks
- Planning and managing organisational change aspects of projects within program
- Actively monitoring and managing project issues and risks
- Coordinating all stakeholder tasks and managing stakeholder impacts
- Establishing, managing and reporting on project budget
- Working with PMO to establish and improve project methods and processes
- Ensuring all business stakeholders comply with agreed project processes and quality standards
- Proactive communication with all stakeholders both internally and externally on release timeframes and management of expectations
- Management and support of project team resources (IT and business) to ensure successful delivery
Essential Skills:
- Minimum 7+ years PM experience ideally in the Financial Services or Banking industry - must have Funds Management experience
- Strong organisational, time management and planning skills
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of the software development life cycle
- Demonstrated experience of negotiating effectively at a senior level
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment
- Demonstrated vendor management experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Knowlege of core toolset (MS Office, MS Project)
